Parents are living longer than their children!!
Is it any wonder that American's health is so awful? Statistics say that soda, french fries, potato chips, hamburgers and chocolate make up 70% of the American diet. As a matter of fact the top ten selling products in grocery stores are: 1-marlboro cigarettes, 2-coke classic, 3-kraft macaroni and cheese, 4-pepsi, 5-diet coke, 6-budweiser beer, 7-cambell's soup, 8-tide detergent, 9-folgers coffee, 10-winston cigarettes. This is not good news! Partly as a result of the S.A.D. (Standard American Diet) and prescription and over-the-counter drug use (especially and including vaccinations), life expectancy in America is lower than many other developed countries. To be exact, we are 30th in life expectancy and, by the middle of this century the increased risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancer is estimated to lower the average life expectancy by 5 years. 67% of America's adults are obese and 30% of the U.S. children are. So, is there a solution to solving this insanity? One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over....and EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS!!! Ever watch a dog chase his tail? How about a hamster on a hamster wheel? For some reason in the US--of--A, we have adopted this mindset that we can abuse our body as much as we deem necessary and, by the time we think about making life changing decisions regarding our health, we have already become pharmceutical pin cushions. Is that health? NO! Solution? First, what we need to do is to recognize that health comes from within. Second, we need to buy and eat real foods: Unprocessed, natural and organic. The more life in food, the more life it will give to you. Third, make sure the nerve system, which governs all human function, is free of subluxations (nerve interference). And last, recognize that its up to you! You are directly responsible for your own health and life and therefore you determine how healthy you will be. One other thing to remember: Chiropractic adds years to your life, and life to your years! http://www.selimochiro.com/index.html
